Host standby

Hello all,

Just a bit curious, i think i remember reading somewhere that it was necessary to stop/suspend your VMs before you place the host on standby. Is this still a requirement today with Workstation 7 on Win7? Does placing the host in standby negatively affect Workstation and cause to host/guests to be in some unstable state?

I'd like to know this too.

I have VMware workstation 7.1 installed on my Laptop (Win 7-64bit). I usually put the laptop to sleep at night. I have Vmware unity running with XP. Do I need to sleep or shutdown the vmware machine for things to maintain stability before putting my laptop on standby?
