How to enable host only private network

Hi All,

I am trying to install ORACLE RAC on VMWARE Workstation 4.5 with guest OS linux RHEL 4. As a part of new virtual machine configuration, I want to configure Host only: Private network; But that option is disabled when I am trying to configure the same.

Any suggestions on how to enable it or why is it disabled ?

Thanks in advance.

Please reinstall the VMware server software, your post from the " ipconfig /all " from the host does not have the virtual network adapters vmnet1 or vmnet8 installed. This will not effect any virtual machines you may have created.

Make sure to install the product using the "Local Administrator" account and not a Domain account, this includes not using the Domain Admin account.

By the way, this is the VMware Workstation forum and not the VMware Server forum
