Implementacion de un gateway inalambrico en una maquina virtual

OBJETIVO

Diseñar y construir un Gateway inalámbrico en una máquina virtual a través de tecnología Radius integrada en un portal captivo bajo plataforma Linux.

GENERALIDADES

En el esquema gráfico de red adjunto, se muestra el propósito que deseo montar, la idea general es instalar en mi portátil (Asus UL80J, 3 GB RAM, Win 7 Ultimate, LAN GB Ethernet) Vmware Workstation 7.1.3, y con él, implementar una máquina virtual (Fedora Core 8 o CentOS 5), en esta VM (512 MB RAM, 10 GB HD, 2 LAN modo bridge) construir un servidor con servicios Radius, DHCP, web, base de datos, DNS, Proxy administrados por Webmin, el Gateway inalámbrico estar comandado por el portal captivo NOcat.

La idea es suministrar, administrar y monitorear el tráfico de internet e intranet de usuarios inalámbricos.

Lo monto en mi portátil porque no se cuenta con un equipo de escritorio con el cual pueda hacer estas pruebas, así que encontré Vmware con el que creo puedo hacer el sistema sin necesidad de adquirir un equipo real como servidor.

He encontrado que Vmware posee la opción de insertar hardware que el equipo real no tiene físicamente, en este caso la VM contara con dos NIC LAN, una estará conectada físicamente con el modem ADSL que suministra Internet y la otra con la Intranet (en ella hay dos VLANs físicas de equipos cableados).

Mi portátil cuenta con una sola NIC, obviamente, al necesitar dos tarjetas en el servidor virtual, deseo saber cómo configurar Vmware para que se de esto.

Pienso que se deberían configurar modo bridge. Y a cada una dar la IP correspondiente, por eso conecto un switch y a él, conecto el modem ADSL y los demás actores del sistema.

Analizando un poco lo que cuentas, comprueba que tu servidor DNS de la pc física de pruebas tenga configurado adecuadamente los dns, colocale la ip interna del DNS Server, obviamente en el DNS fijate que exista el registro de tu web server.

En el equipo linux, verifica que están bien armadas la rutas.

Gracias por responder, señor Quintana.

Ya revice el DNS en la maquina fisica y se lo pise manualmente, la ip esta por DHCP, ya q el server virtual lo tengo trabajando con DHCP y le da la ip correctamente.

Me gustaria preguntarle como  mirar que existe el registro de mi web server. Supongo q es, en el archivo named.conf este la sentenceia domain-server creo y deberia tener la ip o el dominio que he configurado.

Ademas, con respecto a En el equipo linux, verifica que están bien armadas la rutas. Por favor digame a que hace referencia esta propuesta suya.
