Moving Multiple VM's To Another PC - Need Advice..??

I have a bunch of differnt VM's on 2 XP Pro PC's, both PC's have diff versions of VM Workstation installed and both have differnt CPU's & RAM & HDD's Ect..

One has an old intel CPU and the other has an older AMD CPU..

I want to move all of the VM's from both PC's onto my new Win7 PC..

So my question is, whats the best method or way to go about transfering all these VM's onto my Win7 PC which has totaly diff CPU & RAM & HDD ect...

Is there some options or features to package each VM to be transferd to another PC and to also convert it to use the better CPU & RAM Ect on the new Win7 PC..?

You should be able to just shut down the VMs, then copy all the files (vmdk / vmx etc) to the new Workstation.

Once done, simply import the VMs.

You can use any tool you like for the copy (Robocopy / XCopy - even drag and drop will suffice)

Although you have different CPUs - the VMs are presented virtual hardware.

If you are having issues though - you could run the migration using converter (though I doubt you will need it in your case)

One day I will virtualise myself . . .
