Hi,
After I start the VM, Windows 10 will boot as some temporary user and tells me that I need to sign off the current user and login again in order to fix that. When I do that all works as usual.
But this issue keeps coming back each time I start the VM.
I thought it had to do with installing a new SSD, but it turns out that the issue also ocures on other fysical HDD or SDD in my system.
Do you have any idea how to solve this?
Regards,
Stef Merlijn
Some more details would help.

Hello André,
Just some name, which I rather not post here for security reasons. The username shouldn't give any problems (it's not some internal reserved windows name).
Yes, It's set for the VM (don't know if that is stored in the registry).
Yes

Not sure whether I understand you correctly, but you say that autologon is enabled!? So why don't you disable it for that user?
For a possible registry location, see AutoAdminLogon
André
Hi André,
For some reason the autologin settings where not saved correctly.
Your registry value helped me to look a bit further and I found this site.
http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-automatically-login-in-windows-10/
Setting the autologin only via VMware was not enough for some reason, but after I set it also in Windows itself via command Netplwiz I got it to work again.
Thank you very much for your help.
Stef
After a restart of the host system I had the same issue again this morning.
So it's sad to say but nothing has been solved.
Any other suggestions are appreciated.
