New: workstation 6.5 harddrive too busy

I'm  running workstation 6.5 on a windows xp host. when workstation is active, harddrive is too busy.

host hardware:     2560 BM memory

                         Intel Pentium 4 CPU, 3 GHz

                         harddrive: Samsung SP1213C, C:(windows 98) 19,5 GB, D:(windows XP) 39,0 GB, E:(VM) 53,2 GB

host software:     XP Professional 5.1.2600, Service Pack 3

harddrive is "always busy" only when vm running.

CPU utilization:     vmware-vmx.exe     47%

                              idle-task              52%

running antivirus software on host: microsoft security essentials

attached files: vmware.log

                      SUSE-Linux.vmx

you must exclude vmdk - files from your antivirus scans

set floppy to start disconnected and shrink your vmdks

that will not make a big difference though - something else is very strange
