Problems with vm tools install in kubuntu 14.04

Hello All,

I have trouble installing vm tools in a kubuntu 14.04 vm. Running vmware workstation 10.0.1 build-1379776 on Win7 professional.

From the mounted CDROM I copy the tgz file, unpack and launch as instructions given.

In the end I get an error in the C-compiler:

/tmp/modconfig-PFgyC2/vmhgfs-only/file.c: In function ‘HgfsOpen’:

/tmp/modconfig-PFgyC2/vmhgfs-only/file.c:685:27: error: incompatible type for argument 3 of ‘HgfsSetUidGid’

                           current_fsuid(), current_fsgid());

                           ^

In file included from /tmp/modconfig-PFgyC2/vmhgfs-only/file.c:46:0:

Complete install screen dump below.

Is the above issue significant? The VM still seems to work.

What's the next debug step?

Thanks,

Gert
