I am running Windows 8 desktop PC. I installed VMWare Workstation 9 and put Linux Mint 14 on it. I have a Linksys E2500. I installed open ssh on my linux mint box. I set up NAT port forwarding in the VMware settings to forward to the vm ip address. I also added another network adapter for bridge. I then set up port forwarding in my linksys to my PC internal ip address.
However, when I get on my macbook, fire up terminal and type something like ssh 192.xx.xx.xx I get "port 22: Operation timed out". Why can I not connect to my vm machine through ssh? I want to be able to access my desktop pc and vm linux box from remotely from school.
