Shared VM's

HI Lads

I'm facing an issue with latest VMware 15

I reinstalled system and not trying to put all VM's back on place but can't do it with the VM's created as Shared machines

Getting an error that "Locally opened shared VM is not allowed 2019-07-22_115935.png

Before I would open them as a normal VM and then share again

I have a large umber of shared VMs's and it wold be days work to moving them elsewhere opening as normal VM's and sharing them again

Is there any way around on-this one ?

Regards

Just a quick update

with latest build of Workstation 15

I can't even open this Previously shared VM's  after moving them in to the different folder

looks like they are marked as Shared in some config file?

Anyone can assist on this one please?

Hi,

Moving to another folder should normally allow you to open them again as a normal -non shared- VM.

If you still get the same error then check if your user is the owner of the files in this folder.

To me it sounds like a file permission error.

If you're not getting the same error, then please tell us the error you are getting now.
