The file specified is not a virtual disk - Copied from ESXi host to Workstation

Hi folks,

I need some urgent help, i just finished copying the VMDK and other files from a VMWare ESXi host's datastore across my WAN and down to my local machine. I'm trying to open it up in VMWare workstation but when i click resume (after loading the .VMX file) it errors and says the file specified is not a virtual disk!

Gah!

I'm pretty new to VMWare so I need help.

I made a backup copy of the image on my local machine before i tried running it. I've googled this error lots but haven't found any solid resolution yet.

Please help!

Cheers,

Artemis.
