Hi all.
I have this error with the VmWare Workstation pro 16.2.5.20904516.exe downloaded from official site . I download it again 2 time but the error is always the same : problem with the package error 29144
Do you have an idea how to solve? Ihave to update my 16.2.4 version.
thank you
Roberto
You can try to resolve it on following way
Uninstall current version, reboot, delete all files and foders in %TEMP% and then install new version
Sometimes you need to temporary disable your antivirus. Avast or McAfee have been reported to destroy your installation
Have you verified the checksum of the downloaded file?
Are you running the installer As Admin?

@Gizzie , no uninsntall. i try to run it the first time as check update and so on..And no, i did not disable Avast . I did several uldate from 16.ol to 16.2.4 before without any problem. I'll try in the next day running a backup image before for safe rollback.
