I am SUPER disappointed with VMWare 8.0.1 on x_64 Linux and wonder who the heck does quality assurance at this company? I do not recommend upgrading the 8.0 for any reason if the previous versions are working for you and I certainly wish I had not. But I am screwed because I also converted my machines to version 8.0 so I can't roll them back.
After install, creation of the networking interface on first start fails due to some problem
Additionally, I have never experienced any problems with the video driver on either of my systems until upgrading to 8.0.1 where all of a sudden there is an incompatability with 3D and now I can not run videos in the virtual machine
This has to be the only company in the world where upgrades end up being worse than the previous version, SUPER LAME!
