We regularly copy Windows VMs from our vSphere environment to run locally in VMware Workstation. We recently implemented Windows Server 2012 VMs and found when using them in this manner, the activation is being reset. We do not have this problem with our Windows Server 2008 R2 VMs.
Has anyone else run into this? Better yet, anyone have an idea on how to prevent this from occurring?
