Hi
From what I can understand from various articles about VMware Workstation 8 and from the manual you are supposed to be able to upload local virtual machines to both vCenter/vSphere clusters and VMware Workstation 8 servers?
But then I try to upload my local virtual machine to the registered vmware workstation 8 server I get the error:
"Uploading to Workstation Server is not supported"
The VMware workstation 8 manual says it is? or am I reading this wrong:
Upload a Virtual Machine to a Remote Server
When you upload a virtual machine to a remote server, Workstation copies the virtual machine to the remote host and datastore that you select. The original virtual machine remains on the host system.
Prerequisites

| Verify that the remote server is running Workstation 8.x or later or ESX, ESXi, or vCenter Server 4.1 or later.
