Check the N/W adapter setting of the VM and make sure it is on the correct network.

make sure DNS resolution for the VCSA is fine.

What type of database you have configured for VC. Please check if DB has adequate space available before you trigger installation.

To resolve this issue, add the IP address and FQDN of vCenter Server Appliance to /etc/hosts file.

To add the IP address and FQDN of vCenter Server Appliance to /etc/hosts file:

Log in to the console of vCenter Appliance as the root user.

To change directory to /etc , run this command:

    cd /etc

Open the hosts file using a text editor. For more information, see Editing files on an ESX host using vi or nano (1020302)

Add the hostname in vCenter_IP vCenter Server Appliance FQDN vcenter short name format.

    For example, 10.10.10.10 vcenter.vmware.com vcenter

    Save and close the file.

Restart the vmware-vpxd service by running this command:

service vmware-vpxd restart
