i need to setup a vcenter 6 environment and need to install esxi. in the install guide it says that the esxi install wipes out any vendor config.  does that include the RAID?  How do you configure the RAID then if the install wipes it out?   Does the esx install have a default RAID configuration?

No. If RAID is already configured by the RAID controller, you will don't need configure it on ESXi. No, it will use the RAID configuration from your controller.

Hi,

ESxi wipe out only data on the disk if vendor had installed any OS / data

RAID configuration is on the RAID controller and it won't get erased .

No need to worry go ahead and install esxi
