I am new to the field, so I find out if I make multiple clones [ I use VM Workstation 10.0.4] of activated Windows 2003 Server inside my small datacenter (3 hosts, 15 VMs), when I boot up the newly cloned VMs, the Windows says it is already activated, I am actually surprised, I am sure Microsoft is not happy about it, but what is the their policy? I have not tried this with Windows Server 2008/2012, I have about 4 keys for each, but how shall I deal with this? I certainly want to play fair and legally, shall I contact them for a discount for maybe 15 servers?
