i read a point in vmware virtual machine administration guide :

Note : you can not connect a usb device to virtual machine if you use html5 console in the vsphere web client

what does that means ?

i attached usb device to my esxi host and login to vcenter via web client HTML5 and could add usb device to my vm now what is the problem ?

They mean that a USB on the machine you're using to connect to the VM console via HTML5 won't be able to be forwarded to the VM itself like with the original Remote Console. USBs attached directly to hosts, rather than a client machine via HTML5, will be accessible since there's no need for a remote console.

HTML5 is not fully-functional at the moment so things like this will be left out until they are ready.
