vCenter 5.5.0 appliance upgrade to 5.5.0a - how?

I have looked through every README and PDF I can find to get instructions on how to upgrade my vCenter 5.5.0 appliance using the upgrade file.  I downloaded VMware-vCenter-Server-Appliance-5.5.0.5101-1398493-updaterepo.zip , just need instructions.

You can find the instructions at VMware KB: Updating the VMware vCenter Server Appliance from a zipped update bundle.

I usually use the .iso to update/patch the appliance.

That was incredibly easy.  The updaterepo zip and ISO files are only for locations where vCenter doesn't have internet access.   I logged into the vCenter management interface, port 5480, clicked Update, Check Updates, then Install Updates and it went through without issue.
