In vCloud 5.1, the vShield edge instance and new vApp network (from VXLAN network pool) is created dynamically after I power on a vApp and then the VMs inside are automatically added to the newly created network. After I power off the vApp the edge and the network is removed.
I'd like to know if it is possible to have the edge and the vApp network created during creating of the vApp instead of powering on the vApp and leave it created and configured over the lifetime of the vApp.
The reason why I am asking is that provisioning of new edge and recofinguring all VMs inside the vApp takes time and if the vApp is rather big and is powered on/powered off frequently it is very inconvenient to wait for everything to come up.
