Migrate vCD Centos 5.7 to CentOS 6.*

Hi,

does anyone have made experience in the migration of a vCD installation to another host ?

In my case from CentOS 5.7 to 6.*

In order to upgrade vCD from 5.1 to 5.5 i want first complete the migration if the vCD to a supportedOS.

Iam using a DB hosted on an external  SQLServer,

Testenvironment:

Install minimal Image CentOS 6.5

rsync /opt/vcloud-director & start scripts

Start vcd and check logs .....

But maybe its not that simple :smileysilly:

Thanks!

you'll be missing requirements on minimal installations of the OS.

why not just upgrade?

Do the full upgrade first, then add a second cell for the environment, and then remove the old one?

Thanks for your reply. Looks like your way is the easiest one. I just upgraded all vsphere components and will test it later. THX man.
