how to perform vmotion of a particular vapp in VCD 1.50

Hi any advise how i can perform this also can i manually perform vmotion of a vapp in vcentre if it is in a resource pool managed by VCD

I'm using ESX 4.1 U1 with Vcentre 4.1 U1

Hi,

You'd need to vmotion VMs representing vApp manually from within vSphere Client. As long as you choose the same Resource Pool during vmotion wizard, vCD should not have any problems.

Also, vCloud API allows to call storage vmotion... I can't find reference to vmotion, though

The vCD API operation is called 'relocateVm' - it allows you to change the datastore of a running VM.
