I am looking if it is possible to perform storage vmotion for a virtual vcenter? because I will be initiating storage vmotion for virtual vcenter after logging into vcenter itself. Just want to have opinion about it so I don't get myself into a problem.
If anyone have done it, please share experience.
regards,
Hi,
I have done it several times and there is no problem. You can make a vmotion storage like a normal virtual machine.
ARomeo
P.S: It might drop connection for a moment when it finalizes the changes.

Hello Wajeeh:
It is possible to do Storage vMotion of vCenter virtual machines.
Please consider the following:
- You might experience a few packet drops.
- You might experience IOPS slowness if you are performing several Storage vMotions at the same time
Also keep in mind vMotion requirements:
Thank you for your reply and clarifying.
