I've been evaluating the Native KMS for a couple of months now and have pretty much all of my technical and configuration questions answered, except one. How do I determine the validity period for the Key Provider certificate.
I do not see it in vCenter -> Administration. I cannot view any properties of the *.P12 certificate backup file (using certutil anyway). The best I've been able to achieve is via the PowerCLI KeyProvider CMDLet Get-KeyProvider, which returns a date of 1/1/0001 12:00:00 AM. There is also a section in the 7.0 security guide stating that an alarm goes off 30 days before expiration. But, can't be bothered to mention what the validity period is.
Anyone have any idea?
