Problem doing backup with Acronis Cyber Backup on VM EXSi

Hello,

Recently i have this issue when my Acronis Console tries backup my VM, I attacched a PNG where the error comes.

As far as I understand, something happens with the access to my hard disk on my EXSi, here the error, does anyone know what could be causing this error?

@saguiti - 2 similar issues i've seen for this, both recommended installing/re-installing or upgrading VMware tools.

 

Can you confirm if VMware tools is installed, and if so, is it up to date? I'm assuming this is a Windows Machine?  I also noticed in your error output, that your application consistent snapshot, is failing back to a crash consistent snapshot, so this could also be related.

 

Have a look at this first, and let us know if this resolves the issue.

It works now! I updated VMWare Tools. Thanks.

I will not be pretty sure yet until have a consecutive succesful backups anyways hehe.

While Acronis is a widely used option, I would also like to mention Vinchin Backup & Recovery in passing. Vinchin offers some special optimizations for virtual environments, such as native support for VMware environments, which may provide additional stability and flexibility when dealing with these types of snapshot and disk access issues.
