Unable to expand Datastore in vSphere.

I have a storage array that has been expanded on the storage side. However when I go into vSphere to expand the datastore, after clicking the "increase" button, there are no devices listed in the section to "Select Device" for me to choose. Without a selected devices, it will not allow me to proceed further. I have verified that the storage has been expanded, and rescanned the storage in the vSphere. The vSphere is Version 6.0.0 Build 6855238. Can someone please assist me in determining why I am not able to expand the datastore properly?

Are you absolutely certain (or your storage team) that they expanded the right extent? If you have multiple extents/LUNs being served from a given array, triple check that they expanded the correct one.

I've seen similar behavior in newer 6.5 versions, but not in v6.0 yet.

What helped was to run vmkfstools -V (not the upper-case "-V") on all hosts.
