Currently trying to create a Windows 2019 server. Started the creation process on 9/08/23. I figured the creation would take a few hours, but I've never had a VM take this long to create.
The VM has 4 drives connected to it.
OS drive - 240 GBs
Application Drive - 1.2 TBs
Database - 12 TBs
Oracle Backup - 20 TBs
VM Hardware Config:
8 CPUs, 16 GBs RAM.
All drives are individual data stores setup on a Dell EMC using ISCSI.
Has anyone encountered anything similar to this? Not sure what is causing the delay. There are plenty of resources available on the hypervisor.
Are you creating VM from ESXi level or from vCenter?
Creating the VM from vCenter.
