VM Randomly shuts down.

I've got a vSphere 7 host running the latest patches and one of my vms keeps shutting down.  I checked the vmkwarninglog and found this message:

ALERT: IDT: 1560: Uncorrectable/recoverable memory error in virtual machine vmm4:<vm_name>; recovering by killing the VM.

The VM appears to run fine for a few days and then I'll come in and notice that its powered off again.

Any ideas?

have you tried to run a memory diagnostic test on the virtual machine already?

You might try to migrate the machine to another host, if it shuts down again, you can be quite sure that it isn't a hardware issue.

Not running vCenter so vMotion isn't an option.  I have another VM on that same host that hasn't had issues yet.  I'll try running the diagnostic.

are you using non-ecc memory in a lab or something like that? sounds like you had memory issues indeed.
