Hi there,
I have a Win Server 2019 and a Hyper-v virtual machine Win Server 2019 inside.
I want to move this virtual machine to my ESXi 6.7 Host.
I am able to convert it using VMware vCenter Converter Standalone and migrate it successfully.
However, after the machine is migrated I've got the following error: VMware Tools is installed, but the version is too old.
So I am not able to use the machine through the web interface. The mouse is not working and I have very limited accessibility using the keyboard on the web interface. I can not RDP to the machine either. (because of a network issue)
So before the migration, I need to install VMWare Tools in order to use the machine properly.
So I mount the VMWare Tools 11.3 to the server. But when I click the setup64.exe just nothing happens. I try to run it through the cmd but it is the same. Nothing happens!
Why I can't install VMWare Tools to the Windows 2019 Server?
And ideas are much appreciated. Thanks!
cant you use vmtools auto-upgrade option on the already deployed vm?
Hey mate, how are you?
Super quick question: does the Machine prior to using Converter have any drivers installed on it?
If so, after converting uninstall all the drivers and then install VMware tools.
