Lost local admin password

I can not login to my vm because I lost local admin password is it possible to reset the password wthout rebooting.

if the machine is part of a domain you can reset the password of the admin. apart from that there is no way, no password = no login.

Depends on your guest OS, but if its Windows check out petri.co.il forgot admin password

boot the VM with the Konboot ISO - then you can set a new password
