Trying to set up WLBS between 2 2003 svr running on two ESX Servers

Hello,

I have 2 Vmware ESX 3.5.0-64607 running on 2 HP DL380 G5 servers with 2 on board NIC, and an extra 4 port NIC .

1 of the onboard nic is used for the Console (Infrastructure client)

Now I have setup the WLBS on the NIC configured in the 2003 SVR

The cluster operating mode is unicast. The rest is mostly default settings.

But now if I run the Network Load Balancing Manager on one of the cluster members it tells me the cluster is converged, but it cannot connect to

the other member server.

Strange is that the cluster seems to work wel (tested on our database connecting to cluster adres )

Are there some special rules or things I need to follow when setting this up ?

Any help is welcome . Thx

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Have you reviewed "[Implementing Microsoft Network Load Balancing (NLB) in a Virtualized Environment|http://www.vmware.com/resources/techresources/1072]" from Vmware Resources?

Good Luck!
