"Unable to Add Networks" from New Virtual Machine Wizard

I'm creating a virtual machine from the Infrastructure Client, but in the "New Virtual Machine Wizard", it says "Unable to add Networks". When I continued on with the guest windows os, it didn't see its NIC card.

I went into "Configuration" tab, selected "Networking", went into properties and added the additional "vmnic1" - there are wo in there and it see it as NextXtreme II Ethernet cards.

Did I miss anything?

Check out your configuration settings for networking. You need to have a virtual switch configured with a Port Group for Virtual Machines.
