Rainwall and Vmware

We are looking to P2V our ISA Load Balance cluster. We have a 2 node ISA 2004 Rainwall NLB Cluster. I know there are caveats around virtualising a Microsoft NLB, so I was interested to hear if anyone has successfully P2V'd or failed in their attempts to P2V a Rainwall cluster and what issues were encountered?

Thanks

Are you using an external SQL database for ISA? If not, then ISA is not a candidate for being a VM as it is extremely[/i] disk intensive.

Not strictly a P2V, but I HAVE succesfully built an NLB pair running IIS in our TEST domain. It runs well with no apparent issues. The IIS is used to pre-prod test our production website - a major bank in New Zealand.

I p2v'd some NLB clusters a while back. I had to rebuild the NLB because of new NICs, but didn't have any issues doing it.

Since the old hardware was about 5 years old at the time, all my users were very impressed with the speed of the new NLB cluster even when virtualized.
