SATA Raid controller

hello NG

i bought a new PC (homeuser) and want work a little with ESX 3.0 server. but the problem is the Raid array.

i have only a PCI-Express slot free.

Highpoint have a couple of SATA Raid controller, like HighPoint RocketRAID 2310. but i am not sure works ESX Server with them

how have expirience with this

There are a few SATA RAID controllers known to work

\- LSI Megaraid 150/4

\- Adaptec 2x10SA

\- the ones used in the certified servers (take a look at the PDF)

don't know if there are PCIe cards among them

LSI and adaptec are 64 bit cards.

but what for a pdf do you mean ?
