MacOS - change user password using a script

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to change a local user password on MacOS using a script.

I tried some bash scripts using "passwd" or "dscl", but, due to architectural changes in MacOS, that requires the previous password for the user.

This is not feasible in an environment with hundreds of devices, where the users maybe modified their password.

Is there a way to overcome this obstacle and implement such a script (that I'd like to distribute then with WS1)?

Does WS1 offer an alternative way to change the password of a user in MacOS?

Thanks!
