Uninstall App that was assigned to Organizational Group

Rather than using VPP, we upload the iOS app .IPA to our airwatch ( or Workspace ONE UEM )
then we create a child organizational group under a '  production organizational group'

we then upload this .IPA to the child org group so then when a device is moved to this new child group it ' SHOULD'  uninstall the older version of the app

this use to work when it was branded as AirWatch but no longer does.

any recommendations?

Are these App store applications or your own .ipa files? Just wondering why you favor manually uploading .ipa files (assume each and every time the app is updated) rather than letting VPP do it.

Hey Adam, Thanks for asking.

They actually are not our own in-house .IPA files. The software vendor generously provides a download link for it so we may upload it.

We favor this method over VPP as our experience in the past has been that we cannot ' lock down'  a version.

Typically my workflow is to make a child org group for our 'production' org group for each new release.
this allows us to migrate devices in batches and typically we dont have any issues - once the device is migrated to a new org group it uninstalls the old version and installs the new .IPA associated with the 'newer' child org group.

For some reason im getting a 'access denied' error when attempting to manually install the app on the device

any thoughts or places i could check to compare ?
