Adding host to VC via (Service-) Console?

Is there a way to register an ESX host to a VirtualCenter using a command in the Service Console or on the server running VC?

Regards, Thomas

Hi,

You can register a VM by to the host from service console using vmware-cmd -s register /pathof the vmx file. But you just can't add host from the service console. i suppose

Thanks

vmware-cmd -s register "Full path to .vmx or vmtx file"

IE: vmware-cmd -s register /vmfs/volumes/local.0/My\ Virtual\ Machine/My\ Virtual\ Machine.vmx

(I made sure to add the protection for spaces in case you aren't aware of that. Use tab completion to make it simple)
