Dear all,
I would like to find if it is possible to change the log on as "vmware virtualcenter management webservices" services in the vcenter server?
Currently it is under domain administrator account but I would like to change it to another domain account.
Which option domain account can i change it to?
Appreciate for your advise
thank you
"Domain admin" and "Enterprise admin" are roles in Active Directory. That is not what I mean.
If you rightclick on the vCenter object (top object in the left pane) in the vSphere client and select "Add Permission..." then you can assign the vSphere "Administrator" role to a user or group for your entire vSphere environment.
You can create a service account on your domain and give that account the Administrator role on your vSphere environment. The service account needs also "Logon As a Service" rights on your vCenter server. Then you can start the "VMware Virtual Center Management Webservices" and "VMware VirtualCenter Server" services using the service acount to logon.

Dear Robert,
many thanks for your reply.
to confirm on your "administrator role", is it to give the service account domain admin and enterprise admin role only?
thank you
