I have four ESX servers in a cluster. I've setup up two 2003 server VMs in an NLB cluster on the same ESX host. These are single NIC using multicast. I've added a static ARP entry on the physical switches and so far everything is fine.
My question is, if those servers VMotion to another host, will the MAC address change? And if one node goes to ESX1 and the other node goes to ESX2, what happens to the MAC of the NLB cluster?
Also, is there any way to tie these two VMs together so that they migrate as a pair (so that they don't wind up on seperate hosts?)
