Update Manager Install time

Can I install Update Manager at later time, or do I need to install in when I am upgrading Virtual Center 2.0.2 to 2.5? I'm not sure where I want it to reside (if at all)

You can install it anytime or decide not to install it. It is a plugin, so you can add later. I never used it at first, but now I use it all the time, just for the ESX patches and it works well.

Did you install it when you upgraded VC, or install it at a leter date? Did you install it on th eVC server or a seperate server?

I installed it at a later date. I have update manager installed on the same physical server as Virtual Centre. My sql database is separate. I do have a dowload drive on the Virtual Centre Server with 200 gig of space for all of the patch downloads.
