User permissions for Windows Services which vCenter Server creates

Hi,

I have installed VCenter Server. For the windows services it creates (3 or 4), what are the best user permissions for the domain accounts?

Thanks

Really unless you're using a remote SQL server and are going to be using domain credentials for pass through authentication - just use local system and the SQL user account.

If you're going to be using AD authentication to SQL - I do not believe you have to give it any special permissions beyond the "run as service" ability. VMware has wisened up and I believe it uses %userprofile% for storage of everything. It wouldn't hurt to give it modify permissions over c:\program files\vmware though.

BTW - only vCenter Server, Web services and Update Manager need to run as a user account (given you run the VUM database remotely also)
