Im looking for a way to have the VI client installed on users workstations without manually installing it and without using a third party software.
Maybe use a logon script with the switch parameter /s
Maybe SMS
Have you tried the SSL Webpage to the VC Host?
Basically I don't have access to a lab to test that. I am just creating a document to eliminate a third party utility that we currently use to take full advantage of VC. I just wanted to make sure that a scripted install will work before I enter it into the document.
I am unaware of any product that can manage ESX better than VC.
I find it crucial to use and without it you will never be able to vmotion between hosts
The third party product is used for Metrics, Performance and capacity planning, not really for VM management.
Thanks for the quick response and your help. I will go ahead and mark this question as answered knowing the VI client can be installed via script.
Thanks
