privilege to write the vmnotes

In my environment vRanger does backups of the VM with the role 'VCB user' . There seems to be a privilege missing that enables it to fill the notes in the VM's with the backup results.

Performing the vRanger backup as an administrator leaves the notes filled.

So which particular privilege did I missed out?
