vcenter 6.0 web client - hangs when logging in with scrolling bar....

vCenter Version: 6.0 Build 2776511

OS Type: Windows 2012 R2

I fired up the lab today and when I try to log into my vcenter web client, the login hangs with the blue/light blue barber shop pole/bar animating.

It hangs there forever and will never log in. the vCenter Server is separate from my Platform Services VM. I tried to reboot both and I still get the same thing. My ESX hosts are running fine. I can connect to the vCenter Server with the thick client fine but all my VM's are either version 10 or 11 so the thick client won't do much for me at this point. Sad but true.

I have also tried logging in as administrator@vsphere.local and I get the same thing.

I've also tried to cycle the web service "vspherewebclientsvc" and still the same problem.

Any ideas? This is the first time I've run into this.

Thanks

OK, so after ~30 minutes it came up.

WOW!

Something has to be not responding and timing out. Anyone run into this before?

The vCenter Server has 4 CPU's and 10GB of RAM.

Dealing with something similar. No real clues yet as to why it's happening.

Turns out we had a DNS issue. Didn't have all the necessary domain suffix search strings configured. Added those to VCSA and the PSCs and logins are quick now.
