How to exit a target environment?

Hi,

After vifpinit server (entering a target environment), how can I return from it?

In other word, how can I wipe off the server part in the prompt?

Thanks,

Shawn

Very good question, afaik the current target it stays with you until you initialize another target host but I've not seen a method that allows you to un-initliaze in general. You would need to logout and log back in, any specific reason you need to exit a target? You know that when you initialize one target, you pretty much have access to call any other target that is being managed by vMA right?

Thank you.

1. If both initialize and un-initialize co-exist, it is more complete and reasonable, isn't it?

2. I could change to another target when targeting one server.

Yes, it make sence to have "un-initialize" supported, and you can expect having the feature in the next vMA release.

In vMA 4.0, you can only un-initialize target environment by logoff. But if you just want to change the environment, please run "vifpinit <another-server>": then <another-server> can be initialized.
