Problem in costumization ESXI from FlexSystem ( can't installed on the usb - need hdd only )
i want install ESXI on the USB Storage, but i can't understand why ESXI don't get me choice where need install ESXI
When the installer detects the available devices and prompts you to make a choice, does it correctly see the flash drive, labeling it as USB under type, and reporting the model?
Also, what capacity does your drive have? Is it at least 16GB?
Some thoughts:
André
Are you able to see USB storage in BIOS under boot device,
Also clear the previous file system layout by running dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/<usb device> and kill the command after 1 or 2 min.
Thx 4 u reply

This node, not have hdd - only USB storage ( USB FLASH DRIVE 16GB )
according to the screen shot you are installing ESXi as a virtual machine, i.e. not natively on the blade server!?
installing on the node ( blade server )
before i get screenshot from attach in the first post, i see standart progress bar installing ESXI where i see 80GIB Memory, and then i see this screen all time

Specify the install disk location, i doubt that USB may not be the first disk in your list.
> install --disk <disk location> --overwritevmfs
thx for your help
sorry for the stupid quest
how i can find this disk location?
need ALT+F1 ? "ls" commands or another..... ( in other system location storage can be diferent )
install --disk=usb-storage --overwritevmfs ? or install --disk=usb --overwritevmf ?
and i can create ks.cfg file on USB-STORAGE and rewrite ks=usb:/ks.cfg ?
