I have downloaded the evaluation, but I am not able to create a datacenters or cluster is this because it is an evaluation. I only see inventory roles and administration. I can only create virtual machine. I want ot practice to take the vcp certification because one week of training isn't enough to grasp concepts and actually understand how eveything works

Did you install vCenter server? From your explanation I get the impression you installed ESXi on your server and are now connected with the vSphere Client to this server?

If you want to use Datacenters/clusters and all, you'll need to install vCenter.
