vSphere client 4.1

Hello everybody,

I am having a strange problem on one of my vsphere 4.1 clients running on win-xp. When the user accesses his virtualized workstation using the console in fullscreen mode, the lower part of the screen is visible but mouse clicks/events are not recorded at all. When I access the machine using my vsphere 4.1 client, I don't seem to have the problem.

The user has tried to uninstall the vsphere client and install it again but the problem persists.

Any thoughts about this? Thanks!

Hello Anders,

I will like to recap on your question just to be clear.

You have vspere 4.1 client installed on windows XP.

When a user tries to access an ESX server, thier seems to be an issue with the screen.

When you access the ESX server, no such problem.

If the above is correct, I will recommend;

1) adjust the video resolution of the monitor

2) updating drivers(Video) on the  VI client with issues.

We have already tried (1). Not quite sure what you mean by (2): Are you referring to the win-xp video drivers or something related to the VI client?

Windows xp drivers.
