Hello,
I have setup VDR to backup the 60 or so RHEL 5 and 6 VM's we have on our vmware cluster (Dell R610s with Isilon storage mounted over NFS)
One thing I've noticed is when a VM's backup is nearly complete, 90% of the time we get heartbeat alarm - either flagging intermittent or no heartbeat.
These alarms always coincide with VDR removing the snapshot, I.e. in VDR the logs it lists for the VM: Removed Snapshot "_datarecovery_"
We also use OpenNMS and this often flags the machines as being down and on some VM's sensitive services fall over.
Is there anything that I can do to mitigate this effect?
Thanks
Nick
