Hi All
We have to configure HA for 2 ESXI host nodes. Will it be possible..? And what are the storage requirements to do that..? And what type of license we need to configure HA for 2 ESXI hosts with minimum budget.. kindly suggest
Hi @Hareesh275,
HA with 2 Hosts is possible. You need a shared storage (FC, iSCSI, NFS) or vSAN for running a heartbeat datastore.
Licenses for HA is available for the lowest price in "vSphere Essentials Plus Kit" (includes vCenter) or if you have already a vCenter and less than 25 VMs you can go with the "vSphere Remote Office Branch Office Standard".
Thank you for the information @s_wieland
Hi Hareesh,
VMware recommends to have at least three nodes in the cluster to avoid resource constraints and limitations that may come with that. Also Minimum requirement for Licensing is you buy VMware VMware Vsphere Essentials Plus Kit to run HA which actualy includes license for 6CPU and 1 vCenter essential which says even if dont have hardware your are buying the licenses. As for storage requirements
Thanks for the info @sampath999
2 are ok - 3 are recommend so 1 can fail and 2 are working.
but will be fine with 2 host as long both are running 🙂
thanks for the infos
